Owners of the 2013-2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Limited, Premium can fit the Whiteline Rear Subframe Mount Bushing. In the box: 8 bushings and 4 tubes. The listing names the Limited and Premium trims. Chassis code: GP. Position: rear. The part number is KDT907. Application note: Positive Traction Kit: Locks Subframe To Body.
The rear subframe is the cradle that the rear suspension arms bolt to, and the car is attached to it through rubber mounts that are soft on purpose. That softness lets the subframe shift under hard cornering or acceleration, which dulls the feel of the rear end. A firmer bushing set holds the subframe in position, so the rear responds more directly to steering and throttle. It is built as a positive traction kit, which locks the subframe in place against the body.
Whiteline rates the install as difficult and lists about 4 hours. An alignment is required after installation. To go with it on the XV Crosstrek, see Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, and Adjustable Sway Bar Vehicle Link Kit.
