Lowering springs replace the factory coils with shorter ones that bring the body closer to the ground. A lower center of gravity reduces body movement in corners, and the tighter fender gap changes the look of the car. The springs here use a progressive rate, which keeps the ride more comfortable than a straight-rate spring of similar stiffness.
