Whiteline built the Front Sway Bar Link (OEM Bar Only) for the 2004 Subaru Outback. The kit contains 2 links, 4 spacers, 4 bolts, 12 washers, and 4 nuts. Placement: front. Chassis code: BP. Part number KLC32. Whiteline”s note for this fit: Replaces OE Ball Joint Link & OE Style Bar Only.
A sway bar link is the short rod that ties each end of the front sway bar to the suspension. Whenever the body leans, the link carries that motion into the bar, so any slop, flex, or wear in it is slop in the whole roll-control system.
Whiteline rates the install as easy and lists about 1 hour. It does not require a wheel alignment. Other Whiteline parts we list for the Outback: Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, and Front Steering Rack And Pinion Mount Bushing.
