Whiteline built the Rear Control Arm Lower Inner and Outer Bushing for the 1998-2002 Subaru Forester Base. Whiteline part number: W61382A. Trim named on the listing: Base. Included: 16 bushings and 8 tubes. It is listed for the SF/SG chassis. It goes on the rear of the vehicle.
Every time the wheel moves, the control arm swings on its bushings. When they are soft or worn, the arm shifts under load, the alignment changes as the car moves, and steering and braking feel less precise. A stiffer bushing cuts that unwanted movement while still letting the arm pivot freely. Polyurethane resists deflection far better than the soft rubber it replaces.
Installation is rated moderate, with about 3 hours of work listed. An alignment is required after installation. Working on the same car? We also list 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, Adjustable Sway Bar Vehicle Link Kit, and Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit for the Forester.
