For the 2015-2019 Subaru Outback (BS), this rear subframe mount bushing from Whiteline locks down the rear subframe for a tighter rear end. At 7 years old at most, these cars are not worn out, but this is a popular point to sharpen the handling with firmer, more precise parts.
Factory subframe bushings are tuned for isolation, not precision, and under load they allow the rear crossmember to move relative to the body. These polyurethane bushings limit that movement, which gives a more consistent, predictable rear end when the car is pushed. It is built as a positive traction kit, which locks the subframe in place against the body.
It applies to 5 model years, 2015 through 2019, of the Subaru Outback on the BS chassis. You receive 8 bushings and 4 tubes. Expect a moderate job of about 2 hours. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward. Application note: Positive traction kit: locks subframe to body. Other Whiteline parts we list for the Outback: Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, and Heavy Duty 20mm Rear Sway Bar.
