For the 2008-2011 Subaru Impreza WRX (GE/GH/GR/GV), Whiteline makes the Rear Subframe Mount Bushing. Order it as part number KDT907. You receive 8 bushings and 4 tubes. It goes on the rear of the vehicle. Application note: Positive Traction Kit: Locks Subframe To Body.
The rear subframe is the cradle that the rear suspension arms bolt to, and the car is attached to it through rubber mounts that are soft on purpose. That softness lets the subframe shift under hard cornering or acceleration, which dulls the feel of the rear end. A firmer bushing set holds the subframe in position, so the rear responds more directly to steering and throttle. This is a positive traction style kit, designed to lock the subframe to the body.
Installation is rated difficult, with about 4 hours of work listed. Plan on a wheel alignment afterward. Working on the same car? We also list Adjustable Rear Sway Bar Link, 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts, and Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit for the Impreza WRX.
