Whiteline built the Front Control Arm Lower Inner Rear Bushing for the 2000-2005 Toyota Echo Base (XP10). In the box: 2 shell bushings and 2 tubes. It goes on the front of the vehicle. Order it as part number W53299. Whiteline”s note for this fit: Standard Replacement. Trim named on the listing: Base.
A control arm bushing is the pivot where the arm joins the chassis or the wheel carrier. Factory rubber is chosen for quiet and comfort, so it squashes under braking, acceleration, and cornering and lets the arm move more than it should. A firmer replacement keeps the arm where it belongs, which steadies the alignment and gives the car a more consistent feel. The polyurethane used here deflects much less than the original rubber under the same load.
Expect a difficult job of about 2.5 hours. An alignment is required after installation. Other Whiteline parts we list for the Echo: 14mm Adjustable Front Camber Bolts and Front Sway Bar Link Bushing Kit.
